I have always believed that being an artist is the most amazing journey, as it is a life based upon making dreams materialize.  I bring this same approach to my teaching and thus, for me, teaching is as creatively rewarding as making my studio work.  I love collaborating with people to help them actualize their creative visions within a Textile context.  This type of individualized teaching, a partnership, can only happen in small groups.  That is way Valhalla Textile Center is designed for a maximum of 5 participants at a time.

Participants may choose to select an topic of study as a vehicle to actualize their creative vision.  The topics of study are given as an aide to narrow down the amazing scale of possibilities.  However, participants do not have to limit themselves to these topics, as I would be more than happy to help a participant with any project they would like to undertake.

The degree of difficulty and depth of study will be tailored to the participant’s skill level and length of stay.  All instruction will be personalized and consultative.  I will aide the participant in understanding the requirements and possibilities of their chosen topic of study.  I will support each participant with their individual designing and  through the chosen Textile process to the actualization of their individual project.
