Driving from the South The best route from the US is to cross the boarder using Highway 31, which turns into Highway 3 in Canada. Turn left at the junction with Highway 6 and drive to Salmo. Turn right and go through Salmo and North on Highway 6 to Nelson. Just into Nelson take the Castlegar exit. At junction with Highway 6 turn right and continue North to Rosebery.
Driving from the West, take Highway 1 to Revelstoke. Just prior to Revelstoke, turn right and take Highway 23 to Shelter Bay Ferry. The shelter Bay Ferry leaves on the hour. After Ferry, continue on Highway 23 to Nakusp. Just prior to Nakusp, turn left on the "Truck Route" Highway 6 going East. Continue on Highway 6 to Valhalla Textile Center which is just past the Tourist turn-out on the Lake side of the Highway.
Driving from the East. Take Highway 1 to Revelstoke. Just after the bridge, turn left and take Highway 23 to Shelter Bay Ferry. Follow same directions as above.
